Public meetings in local communities this week

Amherst

The Planning Board will meet at 6:30 p. m. Thursday in the Municipal Building, 5583 Main St., Williamsville.

Buffalo

A job fair will be held Wednesday at the Delevan-Grider Community Center, 877 E. Delavan Ave. Masten Council Member Demone A. Smith and other sponsors have invited numerous entities to participate, including the U. S. Census Bureau and the FBI. The free fair will be held from 10 a. m. until 2 p. m. Also this week:

• The Common Council will hold its premeeting caucus at 10 a. m. Tuesday in Room 1417 of City Hall.

• The Sewer Authority will meet at 9 a. m. Wednesday in Room 1038 of City Hall.

Clarence

The Town Planning Board will meet at 7 p. m. Wednesday and receive an overview from Don Owens of Earth Dimensions on the geology, watersheds, wetlands and types of soils in Clarence. The meeting is at Town Hall, One Town Place.

Elma

The Town Board will meet at 8 p. m. Wednesday in the Town Hall, 1600 Bowen Road.

Erie County

The County Legislature will hold a public hearing at noon Thursday on the fourth floor of Old County Hall, 92 Franklin St., to seek comment on a law creating an Erie County Planning Board. The law can be inspected at the Legislature clerk’s office, also on Old County Hall’s fourth floor.

North Collins

The North Collins School Board will meet at 6:30 p. m. Tuesday in the Library- Media Center of the Junior-Senior High School Building, 2045 School St.

Orchard Park

The Town Board will conduct a regular meeting at 7 p. m. Wednesday in the municipal building, 4295 S. Buffalo Road. Also this week:

• The Village Board will meet at 8 p. m. Monday in the Municipal Center, 4295 S. Buffalo St.

City of Tonawanda

The School Board will meet with its budget advisory team at 5:30 p. m. Tuesday, with a regular session to follow at 7 p. m., in Tonawanda High School, 150 Hinds St.
