47th Variety Kids Telethon airs Sunday on Channel 7

The 47th annual Variety Kids Telethon will be broadcast live from 7 a. m. to 7 p. m. Sunday on WKBW-TV Channel 7 from the grand ballroom of Adam’s Mark Hotel in Buffalo.

“Share Your Care” is the theme of the event, which benefits Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and the Robert Warner M. D. Center for Children with Special Needs, as well as other local charities for children.

A remote broadcast, featuring live entertainment, is scheduled from noon to 2 p. m. from the lower level of Macy’s in Walden Galleria. Here are some of the other satellite events:

• Giant auction from 6 to 10 p. m Saturday and noon to 6 p. m. Sunday in Vigilant Fire Hall, 666 Main St. at Mill Road, West Seneca.

• Phone center open from 7 a. m. to 7 p. m. Sunday in Wellsville Elks Lodge, 77 E. Pearl St.

• Pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a. m. Sunday at Whitesville Volunteer Fire Department, 496 Main St., Whitesville.
