Man with face tattoo robs bank

NEWS STAFF REPORTER

Story tools:

A Bailey Avenue KeyBank branch was robbed early Monday afternoon by a man with the tattoo of a cross on the right side of his face, according to Buffalo police reports.

Police are asking the public to help in identifying the stocky black male, about 5-foot-9, who held up the branch at 3134 Bailey Ave. just after 1 p. m.

Police said the man handed the teller a note and made off with a sum of cash. It appeared that the he did not display a weapon in the robbery, according to Michael J. De- George, Buffalo police spokesman.

DeGeorge said police obtained several photos of the suspect taken by the bank’s surveillance cameras. Police hope the public will be able to identify the suspect.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Buffalo police using their confidential tipcall line at 847-2255.
