Broadway Market cleanup gets under way Saturday
Volunteers are expected to turn out in force from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. Saturday to spruce up the Broadway Market.
The cleanup effort marks the first day that the city will have temporary ownership of the landmark East Side market at 999 Broadway.
The event is being organized by the Broadway Market Tenants Association, the Friends of the Broadway Market, members of City Hall’s Broadway Market Task Force, Broadway Fillmore Alive, the Broadway Area Business Association and Forgotten Buffalo.
Volunteers will concentrate on the market’s entrances, walls, doors, windows, counter areas and parking ramp.
