Wedding ring stolen off dead woman’s finger

A woman who died earlier this week had her gold and diamond wedding ring stolen off her finger sometime between the hospital and the funeral home, her attorney told Buffalo police.
The theft took place between 5 p. m. Sunday and noon on Monday. The attorney said the ring, was taken from deceased woman’s left hand, was present at Mercy Hospital on Sunday and then missing the following day at Mc- Carthy Funeral Home. Contact South District police at 851-4415.
