Bones in old beer cooler target of investigation
Pedestrians walking by a taped-up beer cooler left in an old parking lot on Kenmore Avenue made a grisly discovery Friday evening.
Police said that the pedestrians, who found the cooler in the 1700 block of Kenmore, opened the container and found what appeared to be bones. It was not known whether the bones were human, police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge said. Homicide detectives were called to the scene. The Medical Examiner’s office will investigate the bones this morning.
