City Mission wants turkeys, pies — soon
The Buffalo City Mission is seeking 3,000 donated turkeys early this fall season so it can begin to prepare thousands of dinners for delivery to homebound families and seniors. The Mission’s Turkey Express program is in addition to the hundreds of dinners served in its shelter using donated turkeys and plenty of fixings.
There is also a need for a total of 350 cherry, apple, pumpkin and sweet potato pies. The turkeys and/or pies can be dropped off between 7 a. m. and 7 p. m. daily at the Mission’s Men’s Community Center, 100 E. Tupper St. For more information, call 854-8181, Ext. 401.
