ATV passenger suffers head injury in accident
Another all-terrain vehicle accident in southern Erie County sent a 20- year-old woman to Erie County Medical Center via Mercy Flight, but she was released after treatment for a head injury.
Raquel Twoguns, of Seneca Road, Lawtons, lost consciousness at about 8 p. m. Thursday after being thrown from the vehicle about a half mile off Route 438 in Brant.
Erie County sheriff’s deputies said Twoguns, who was not wearing a helmet, was riding on the back of an ATV driven by Sterling Doctor, 18, also of Lawtons, who apparently struck a rut in the dirt road while backing up.
The accident was the fifth, including two fatalities, investigated by sheriff’s deputies in five days.
