Commuting Concerns / Trouble spots for the upcoming week
I-90/Thruway (Dunkirk, Westfield): The westbound right lane from Exit 59 (Route 60) to Exit 60 (Route 394) will be closed Monday through Thursday. I-190/Niagara Thruway (Niagara Falls, Tonawanda, Buffalo): There will be lane restrictions from Exit 21A (La Salle Expressway) to Exit 22 (Niagara Falls Boulevard) from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. Tuesday. There will be lane restrictions northbound from Exit 14 (Vulcan Street) to Exit 15 (Sheridan Drive) from 9 a. m. to 12 p. m. Monday through Thursday. I-290/Youngmann Highway (Amherst): The eastbound left lane from Exit 4 (I-990) to Exit 5 (Millersport Highway) will be closed from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Monday. The eastbound left lane from Exit 6 (Sheridan Drive) to Exit 7 (Main Street) will be closed from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Tuesday. The westbound left lane from Exit 6 (Sheridan Drive) to Exit 5 (Millersport Highway) will be closed from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. Wednesday. I-990/Lockport Expressway (Amherst): There will be lane restrictions from 7 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday through Saturday in both directions between I-290 and Millersport Highway. Route 33/Kensington Expressway (Buffalo, Cheektowaga): There will be lane restrictions in both directions at Route 198 from 6 a. m. to 4 p. m. Saturday. The eastbound left lane will be closed from Grider Street to Eggert Road from 6 a. m. to 12 p. m. Saturday. Route 198/Scajaquada Expressway (Buffalo): The northbound and southbound ramps to I-190 will be closed from 9 a. m. to 1 p. m. Tuesday. A detour will be posted. Route 219/Southern Expressway (Concord, Ashford, Orchard Park): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Route 179 to Route 20 from 5 a. m. to 5:30 p. m. Monday through Friday. There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Route 39 to Peters Road all week. Route 400/Aurora Expressway (Aurora, Elma): The northbound left lane between Girdle and Jamison roads will be closed all week. The right lane will be closed in both directions at Rice Road all week. Route 78/Transit Road (Cheektowaga, Amherst): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Genesee Street to Main Street from 7 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday through Saturday. Bowen Road (Elma): There will be lane restrictions in both directions at Route 400 from 7 a. m. to 3:30 p. m. Monday through Friday. Fuhrmann Boulevard (Buffalo): There will be lane restrictions in both directions all week from Route 5 to South Michigan Avenue. Route 240/Harlem Road (Cheektowaga): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Maryvale Drive to Kensington Avenue from 7 a. m. to 6 p. m. all week. Swift Mills Road (Newstead): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Mill Road to Bracket Road all week. Route 5/Main Street (Buffalo, Amherst): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Hertel Avenue to Morris Avenue all week. Route 62/Buffalo Street (Hamburg): There will be lane restrictions in both directions from Legion Drive to Main Street from 8 a. m. to 5 p. m. Monday through Friday.
