Public meetings in local communities this week The Frontier School Board meets at 7

Akron

The Akron Board of Education will hold its reorganization meeting at 7 p. m. Wednesday in the district board room at the school complex on Bloomingdale Avenue.

Buffalo

The state control board that oversees Buffalo’s finances will meet at 1 p. m. Wednesday to vote on labor contracts for city white-collar employees and school district summer food service workers. The special session will be held in Waterfront Elementary School, 95 Fourth Street. Also this week:

• The Common Council’s Claims Committee will meet at 11 a. m. Tuesday in Council Chambers on the 13th floor of City Hall.

• The Council’s Community Development Committee will meet at 1 p. m. Tuesday in Council Chambers on the 13th floor of City Hall.

• The Council’s Legislation Committee will meet at 2 p. m. Tuesday in Council Chambers on the 13th floor of City Hall.

Cheektowaga

The Cleveland Hill Board of Education will meet at 6 p. m. Wednesday in the faculty cafeteria, 105 Mapleview Road, for its reorganization meeting for the 2008-09 school year.

• The Maryvale Board of Education will conduct its reorganization meeting at 6 p. m. Tuesday in the Samuel R. Bennett Administration Building, 1050 Maryvale Drive.

• The Town Board will conduct a work session at 6 p. m. Tuesday in the council office conference room in Town Hall, 3301 Broadway at Union Road.

• The Conservation Advisory Council will meet at 6:30 p. m. Thursday in the council office conference room.

Depew

The Depew Board of Education will hold its reorganization meeting at 5:30 p. m. Tuesday in the district board room of the Terrace Education Center, 591 Terrace Blvd.

Erie County

The Erie County Legislature’s Health and Human Services Committee meets at 8:30 a. m. Wednesday on the fourth floor of Old County Hall, 92 Franklin St. The Economic Development Committee meets at 10:30; the Public Safety Committee meets at noon; and the Energy and Environment Committee meets at 1 p. m.

Hamburg

p. m. Tuesday in the Frontier Educational Center, 5120 Orchard Ave., Hamburg. Also this week:

• The town Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 7 p. m. Tuesday in Town Hall, 6100 South Park Ave.

• The town Planning Board will hold a work session at 7:30 p. m. Wednesday in the Town Hall.

• The Village Planning Commission will meet at 8 p. m. Thursday in Village Hall, 100 Main St.

Kenmore

The Village Board will meet at 8 p. m. Tuesday in Council Chambers at the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A work session begins at 6:30 in the mayor’s office.

North Collins

The Board of Education will hold a special meeting at 7 p. m. Monday in the Junior-Senior High School Building, 2045 School St.

Orchard Park

The Board of Education will conduct its reorganization meeting at 7 p. m. Tuesday in the administrative offices at 3330 Baker Road. Also this week:

• The Town Board will meet Wednesday, with a work session at 6 p. m. and regular session at 7. Both are in the Municipal Center, 4295 South Buffalo St.

• The Conservation Board will meet at 7 p. m. Tuesday in the Municipal Center.

Springville

The Town of Concord Planning Board will meet at 7:30 p. m. Tuesday at 86 Franklin St., Springville.

City of Tonawanda

The Common Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p. m. Tuesday in City Hall, 200 Niagara St. Also this week:

• The Board of Education will hold a reorganization meeting at 6:30 p. m. Wednesday in the district’s administration building, 202 Broad St.

Town of Tonawanda

The Planning Board will meet at 7 p. m. Wednesday in the Town Board conference room, Room 21 on the second floor of the Municipal Building at 2919 Delaware Ave., Kenmore. Also this week: The Town Board will meet at 7:30 p. m. Monday in Council Chambers in the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave., Kenmore. A work session begins at 4 in the town supervisor’s conference room.
