Bid to swim across river lands Mexican behind bars

ST. CATHARINES, Ont.—A Mexican national was sentenced to 94 days in jail for attempting to enter Canada by swimming across the Niagara River this past spring.
Julio Cesar Salazar Luna, 27, was spotted on April 13 as he swam across the river near Devil’s Hole, according to published reports.
