Troopers charge man, 44, with sexual abuse of boy

BATAVIA—An Elba man faces numerous felony charges in connection with alleged sexual abuse of a person under age 11, state police reported Thursday.
Erik P. Roth, 40, was arrested Wednesday afternoon by troopers from Batavia and charged with two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of course of sexual conduct with a minor under age 11, all felonies. Roth was also charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Troopers are continuing their investigation.
