JAMESTOWN—A Fredonia woman was charged with welfare fraud Wednesday after an investigation by the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services and the Sheriff’s Office.

Keilly Rose, 39, of Eagle Street, was served in Jamestown on Wednesday morning with an appearance ticket for a Jamestown City Court arraignment later this month. She is accused of receiving $1,988 in Medicaid benefits and $1,357 in food stamps to which she was not legally entitled, deputies reported.

She faces prosecution on third-degree grand larceny, misuse of food stamps and fraudulent receipt of benefits charges.
