NIAGARA FALLS—Police investigated three house burglaries Sunday, including a break-in on Rainbow Boulevard where the thief climbed atop a garbage can to slip in through a window.

Several items were strewn about that location, including a computer and an air conditioner, which was pushed out of a window. An X-Box 360 video game console and a game cartridge were stolen, along with $400 in cash. About $40 worth of coins were strewn about the floor of the apartment, police said.

A wallet containing $140 was stolen after an A Street home was entered during the overnight hours, police said. The intruder also stole $100 from a purse at the residence.

A PlayStation 3 game console, a game cartridge and about $350 worth of canned food were stolen from a Ninth Street apartment while the occupant was out, police said. Also taken from the home was about $10 in cash.
