BLOOD DRIVE: The Buffalo Sabres will host a community blood drive with Upstate New York Transplant Services to help local hospitals from 9 a. m. to 5 p. m. Sunday at HSBC Arena. The blood drive will coincide with the 2009 Buffalo Sabres Street HockeyFest.

5K WALK/RUN: Tops Friendly markets will host a 5k walk/run to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute at 9:30 a. m. next Saturday at the National Fuel/Tops Corporate Office Building, 6363 Main St., Amherst. Registration will be held from 7:30 to 9 a. m. Call 635-5221.

MOTORCYCLE RUN: The Kids Escaping Drugs Campaign with American Harley-Davidson and Milligan’s Pub will host the “Kruizin for Kids” motorcycle run and raffle party. The 75-mile run will take off at 11 a. m. next Saturday from Milligan’s Pub, 3864 Abbott Road, Orchard Park. Registration begins at 9 a. m. Call 827-9462.

OPEN HOUSE: FoxWood Wildlife Rescue, 11156 Old Glenwood Road, East Concord, will host an open house from 10 a. m. to 5 p. m. Aug. 30. The event is free and will feature food and drink, a silent auction and more. Call 592-1861.
