CHICKEN-BISCUIT DINNER: St. Peter Lutheran, North Ridge Church, will host an all-you-can- eat buffet-style chicken-and-biscuit dinner from noon to 2 p. m. todayin the church, 4169 Church Road, Lockport. LIFEGUARD TRAINING: Red Cross Lifeguard Training Courses at the Town of Tonawanda Aquatic and Fitness Center will be held from 9 a. m. to 4:30 p. m. Monday through Friday. The course will include lifeguard training, first aid, CPR, oxygen administration and AED training. The cost is $140.94, of which $80 is due at registration and $60.94 due the first day of class. Monday at New Skateland on East Ferry Street. The cost is $5. Skates, if needed, are $1. Partial proceeds will be donated to aid Haiti’s hurricane relief efforts.

BOOK CLUB MEETING: The next meeting of “Soulful Discussions” will take place at 7 p. m. HOUSING WORKSHOP: Housing Opportunities Made Equal will conduct a free landlord training course at 3 p. m. Tuesday in the HOME offices, 700 Main St. The course will highlight the tenant-screening process, Fair Housing laws, the landlord/tenant relationship and what to do when the landlord/tenant relationship doesn’t work.
