INTERACTIVE WORK-SHOP: The Jamestown Community College Cattaraugus County Campus program committee will present “Follow the Drinking Gourd: The Underground Railroad Project,” an interactive workshop with storytelling and character representations to relay the story of the Underground Railroad. The event will take place at 6 p. m. Thursday, as well as Feb. 18 and Feb. 25 in the College Center, 260 N. Union St., Olean. To register, call 372-7455.

SUPPORT GROUP: The Western New York and Finger Lakes Chapter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society will present a leukemia and lymphoma support group from 7 to 8:30 p. m. Thursday at Gilda’s Club Western New York, 1140 Delaware Ave. The topic is “Managing Cancerrelated Stress and Anxiety.” The group is open to patients, family members or friends dealing with a diagnosis of leukemia or lymphoma. RANZENHOFER STAFF HOURS: A member of the staff of State Sen. Michael H. Ranzenhofer, RAmherst, will hold satellite office hours to discuss important issues and questions from Amherst residents from 10 a. m. to noon Thursday in Clearfield Library, 770 Hopkins Road, Amherst. CONGRESS ON YOUR CORNER: The office of Rep. Brian Higgins, D-Buffalo, will host satellite hours for Chautauqua County residents Friday from 11:30 to noon in the Fredonia-Pomfret Grape Belt Senior Center, 32 Moore Ave., and from 1 to 3 p. m. in Fredonia Village Hall, 9-11 Church St. Constituents will be able to discuss Social Security, veterans benefits, citizenship, immigration or any other matters. ANIMAL COURTSHIP LECTURE: Donna M. Fernandes, president and chief executive officer of the Buffalo Zoo, will host a lecture on animal courtship and mating from 6:30 to 8 p. m.
