ACCOUNTING SOCIETY LECTURE:Aaron Beam Jr., former chief financial officer of HealthSouth, will deliver a lecture at 4:30 p. m. Wednesday at the Marie Maday Theatre at Canisius College, 2001 Main St. His topic is “HealthSouth: The Wagon to Disaster.” The lecture, sponsored by the college’s Accounting Society, is free and open to the public. SPAGHETTI DINNER:A spaghetti dinner will be held from 5 to 7 p. m. Thursday at the American Legion, Sikora Post No. 1322, 950 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. Dinner is $6 per person and includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and butter and beverage. Desserts also will be available. For more information, call 693-9793.

CONGRESS ON YOUR CORNER: The office of Rep. Brian Higgins, D-Buffalo, will host satellite hours for Chautauqua County residents Friday in three Chautauqua County communities: from 9 to 11 a. m., Portland Town Hall, 87 West Main; 11:30 to noon, Dunkirk Senior Center, 45 Franklin St.; and 1 to 3 p. m., Dunkirk City Hall, Mayor’s Conference Room, second floor. Constituents will be able to discuss Social Security, veterans benefits, citizenship, immigration or any other matters. For details, call 484-0729.
