COMMUNITY FORUM: Dr. Tim Murphy, of the University of Buffalo Medical School and Veterans Affairs Medical Center, will speak on, “Influenza: What We Know, What We Don’t Know, What We Would Like to Know,” during a community forum at 11:15 a. m. Sunday in Clarence First Presbyterian Church, 9675 Main St. The seminar will be held in the church sanctuary.
ELMA LIBRARY STORY TIME: The Elma Public Library, Bowen and Rice road, will hold “Snow Wonder Story Time” from 6:30 to 7:30 p. m. Wednesday for snowy stories, games and a craft for children in kindergarten through third grade. Registration is needed in person or by calling 652-2719.
CALLING ALL VETS: Elma Memorial Post 5861, Veterans of Foreign Wars, invites all veterans to join the post. Meetings are the first Wednesday of the month, with a free dinner at 6 p. m. and general meeting at 7 p. m. in the Elma Senior Center, Bowen Road. Call 674-1850 Bill Nagy, commander.
FOOD DRIVE: The Blossom Volunteer Fire company of Elma will collect nonperishable food items and unwrapped Christmas gifts to be distributed to the needy on Thursday evenings at the fire hall, 1000 North Blossom Road, Elma.
CRAFT FAIR: The St. Nick Craft Fair will be held from 9 a. m. to 4 p. m. Dec. 6 at the Annunciation School campus, 7580 Clinton St., Elma. More than 80 crafters will be showcasing their handmade items. There will also be an appetizer booth, baked goods sale, wreath and Christmas tree sale and more. Admission is free. OPEN HOUSE: The Buffalo Nordic Ski Club will host their annual open house from 7:30 to 10 p. m. Dec. 9 in the Wick Center of Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Snyder. The event will include an informational video, displays, door prizes and more. Admission is free and no reservations are necessary. For more information call 284-2987.
