Repeat felon sentenced to 2-4 years for burglary

LITTLE VALLEY—A Great Valley man was sentenced as a repeat felon Monday in Cattaraugus County Court to serve up to four years in prison for a burglary in the Town of Franklinville.
Mark W. Gilman, 42, was sentenced by Judge Larry M. Himelein to serve two to four years in prison plus restitution for his conviction of third-degree burglary of a building Dec. 31, 2007.
District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said several others were also sentenced.
Terry G. Brown, 21, of Machias, was sentenced to serve one to three years in prison and restitution for his conviction of third-degree attempted burglary and petit larceny at a building May 29 in the Town of Machias.
Thomas S. George, 25, of Salamanca, was sentenced to serve one to three years in prison and fined of $1,500 for his conviction of driving while intoxicated and without a license Jan. 6, 2008, in the City of Salamanca.
Nicholas S. Powley, 24, of Olean, was sentenced to five years’ probation, including 240 hours of community service, and $2,000 in fines for his conviction of DWI July 4 in the City of Olean.
Brian C. James, 21, of Chaffee, was sentenced to five years’ probation, including 200 hours of community service, and restitution, for his conviction of third-degree attempted burglary at a building between Jan. 7 and 13 in the Town of Yorkshire.
Others entered guilty pleas and are scheduled to be sentenced in February.
Pamela S. Larvie, 43, Gowanda, pleaded guilty to DWI and driving without a license Aug. 8 in the City of Salamanca.
Hope J. Raichlin, 43, of Cattaraugus, pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted forgery Sept. 6 in the Town of Persia involving a medical prescription. She also pleaded guilty to violating the terms of a previously imposed probation.
John R. Thompson, 20, of Allegany, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree making graffiti between Feb. 18 and March 13 in the Town of Allegany, where a building at St. Bonaventure University was intentionally damaged.
Robert E. Besok, 43, of Olean, pleaded guilty to DWI May 14 in the City of Olean.
Gerald J. Foltyniak, 47, of Hamburg, pleaded guilty to DWI and driving without a license Aug. 9 in the Town of Ashford.
Robert D. Hand, 51, of Olean, pleaded guilty to DWI and driving without a license June 8 in the City of Olean and while he had a blood alcohol count of 0.22 percent.
Sharkey said several others were arraigned and pleaded not guilty.
Benjamin K. Kreuttter, 48, of East Otto, pleaded not guilty to DWI and a traffic violation April 29 in the Town of Ashford.
Joshua S. Deppen, 23, of Little Valley, pleaded not guilty to DWI and traffic violations April 5 in the City of Salamanca.
Leslie J. Claypool, 53, of Arcade, pleaded not guilty to DWI and a traffic violation May 2 in the Town of Yorkshire.
