IRELAND LECTURE: Damien Keane, assistant professor of English at the University at Buffalo, will give a lecture titled “Ireland and the Problem of Information” at 4 p. m. today in Muse Restaurant at Albright-Knox Art Gallery, 1285 Elmwood Ave. The event, part of the “Scholars at Muse” lecture series, is free. YOUTH BALLET AUDITIONS: Auditions for the Greater Buffalo Youth Ballet’s upcoming performance of “Sleeping Beauty” will be held Sunday at the Royal Academy of Ballet, 949 Englewood Ave., Town of Tonawanda. Registration for dancers age 6 to 11 is at 11:30 a. m., with an audition class from noon to 1:30 p. m. Registration for dancers 12 and older is at 1 p. m., with an audition class from 1:30 to 3 p. m. The performance will be March 26 in the University at Buffalo’s Center for the Arts.
JEWISH GENEALOGY: Harvey Glasner, of Toronto, will speak to the Jewish Genealogical Society of Buffalo at 2 p. m. Sunday in the Jewish Community Center, 2640 N. Forest Road, Getzville. His topic will be “The JewishGen Online Worldwide Burial Registry: Its Value for Family Research and Cemeteries,” focusing on how to obtain information on ancestors’ gravestones from other cities, states and countries and how to volunteer locally to collect the data for this worldwide cemetery project. BENEFIT: A bowling and karaoke benefit for Mark Cifelli, son and stepson of Judy and Dennis Wilcott, will take place from 4:30 to 10 p. m. Sunday in Manor Lanes, 170 Tonawanda Creek Road, Amherst. TOY AND CLOTHING SWAP: The Ken-Ton Family YMCA, 535 Belmont Ave., Town of Tonawanda, will host a free toy and clothing swap from 1 to 3 p. m. Sunday. ROAST PORK DINNER: St. Peter Evangelical Lutheran Church and School, 4169 Church Road, Lockport, will host a roast pork dinner from noon to 2 p. m. Sunday. Dinner is $8 for adults, $4 for children 6 to 12, and children under 5 are free. Dinner includes pork, potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, coleslaw, rolls and butter and dessert. ETHNIC DINNER: St. Basil’s Church, 3653 Walden Ave., will host a traditional ethnic dinner from 1 to 4 p. m. Sunday.
