Updated: August 21, 2010, 2:52 AM
LITTLE VALLEY — A Delevan man convicted of driving drunk and without a license was sentenced Monday in Cattaraugus County Court to serve up to six years in prison.
Lance R. Weaver, 43, was sentenced by Judge Larry M. Himelein to serve from two to six years and fined $3,000 for his convictions of driving while intoxicated and driving without a license Sept. 19, 2008, in the Town of Yorkshire, prosecutors said.
Weaver also was sentenced to serve a one-year concurrent sentence in jail for an additional conviction of third-degree unlawfully fleeing a police officer Feb. 12, also in Yorkshire, by speeding away from a police vehicle trying to stop him.
In another case, Larry J. Tidd, 20, of Jamestown, was sentenced to one year in jail and restitution for his convictions of third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle May 9 in the Town of Allegany. He drove a vehicle without permission and caused damage to it, District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said.
Sharkey said several others entered guilty pleas and face sentencing Jan. 19:
Jeffrey M. Williams, 18, of East Otto, pleaded guilty to third-degree rape July 11 in the Town of East Otto.
Kenneth P. Wilson, 41, of Great Valley, pleaded guilty to third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance, crack cocaine, Feb. 9, 2008, in the City of Salamanca.
Stephen H. Frank, 17, of Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary and third-degree attempted burglary May 29 in the Town of Machias at a privately owned building, and on April 26 in the Town of Yorkshire, where he attempted to enter Central Baptist Church.
Sharkey said that several others pleaded not guilty and that their cases were adjourned for motions:
Alex A. Craig, 20, and Justun A. Vance, 26, both of the City of Olean, were arraigned and each pleaded not guilty to second-degree robbery and second-degree assault Aug. 22 in Olean. They are accused of injuring someone during a robbery.
