LACKAWANNA SCHOOLS: The Lackawanna School Board will meet at 7 p. m. today in the McKinley School Administration Building, 245 South Shore Blvd., to interview outside counsel.

LEE OFFICE HOURS: A member of the staff of Rep. Chris Lee, RClarence, will be available for one-on-one meetings today in the following locations: 10 to 11:30 a. m., Wyoming County Government Center, Room 202, 143 N. Main St., Warsaw; 3:30 to 5 p. m., North Tonawanda Public Library, 505 Meadow Drive.

RWANDA LECTURE: As part of Africa Week, hosted by the African and African American Studies Interdisciplinary Unit, Carl Wilkens will present “Rwanda 1994 and Beyond” from 12:15 to 1:30 p. m. Thursday in Bulger Communication Center North, Buffalo State College, 1300 Elmwood Ave. Wilkens, a missionary and the only American who stayed in Rwanda throughout the 1994 genocide, was able to prevent the massacre of hundreds of orphans. The event is free.

PARENTING WORKSHOP: Parent Network of WNY, 1000 Main St., will host a workshop titled “Surviving the Stress of the Holiday Season” at 10 a. m. Thursday. For more information or a complete schedule or workshops, call 332-4170 or visit

. DINNER/DANCE:“ Broadway —Our Way” is the theme for the annual Night on the Town Scholarship Dinner-Dance at 6 p. m. Saturday in Adam’s Mark Hotel, 120 Church St. Those attending should arrive in costumes representing various Broadway musicals.
