Olean man sentenced to prison in crack cases

LITTLE VALLEY — An Olean man will serve two three-year prison terms for attempted sale and possession of crack cocaine.
Ronald J. Billingsley, 21, was sentenced Monday in County Court by Judge Larry M. Himelein for two separate incidents.
Billingsley was convicted of third-degree attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance on Sept. 25, 2007, and sentenced to three years in prison.
He also was convicted of third-degree attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 22, 2007, and sentenced to serve a concurrent three-year prison term. He faces three years of post release supervision for both convictions.
In other cases: Scott A. Wilcox, 39, of Belmont, was sentenced to one to three years in prison and fined $2,500 for his conviction of driving while intoxicated and without a license June 25, 2008, in the Town of Yorkshire.
Matthew W. Maybee, 34, of Salamanca, was sentenced to one to three years in prison and total fines of $1,500 for his convictions of DWI and driving without a license Dec. 16 in the City of Salamanca.
Dorothy M. Wohlhuetter, 49, of Yorkshire, was sentenced to five years’ probation and fined $1,500 for her conviction of DWI and driving without a license Jan. 26, 2008, in the Town of Yorkshire.
James D. Long, 58, of Olean, was sentenced to five years’ probation and fined $3,000 for his conviction of DWI April 4 in the City of Olean.
District Attorney Edward M. Sharkey said two others pleaded guilty and face sentencing later this year.
Joseph E. Bialaszewski, 19, of Salamanca, pleaded guilty to fourth-degree grand larceny Nov. 4 in the Town of New Albion. The crime involved a stolen credit card used to make purchases. Sentencing is set for Dec. 7.
Ward C. John, 27, of Steamburg, pleaded guilty to DWI Jan. 17 in the City of Salamanca with a blood alcohol count of 0.23 percent, nearly three times the legal limit. His sentencing is set for Nov. 9.
Michael D. Kuligowski, 49, of Ransomville, pleaded not guilty to DWI, reckless driving, a traffic violation and driving with a blood alcohol content of 0.22 percent, nearly three times the legal limit, on Oct. 1 in the City of Salamanca.
