HOMESTEAD FESTIVAL: The Buffalo Audubon Society will host the Homestead Festival from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Saturday at Beaver Meadow Nature Center, 1610 Welch Road, North Java. DEBT CLASS: Faith Lancaster United Methodist Church, 5505 Broadway, Lancaster, will host Financial Peace University, a tool that shows participants how to deal with debt and economy issues, taught by founder Dave Ramsey. BOOK SALE: Friends of the Marilla Free Library, 11637 Bullis Road, Marilla, are accepting books, puzzles and some magazines for their book sale, until next Monday. Magazines such as knitting, cooking, woodworking or other specialized subjects are acceptable but no Reader’s Digest Condensed Books or National Geographics. The sale will be at the Marilla Community Center, 1810 Two Rod Road, from 9 a. m. to 3 p. m and 6:30 to 8 p. m. Sept. 18 and from 9 a. m. to noon, with a bag sale for $3 from 12:15 to 1:30 p. m., on Sept. 19; and a bonus day during Ag Day, Sept. 20.
