1 driver hurt, 1 ticketed in Middlebury collision

MIDDLEBURY—A Batavia woman was hospitalized, and a Le Roy woman was ticketed for running a stop sign after their cars collided at about 8:15 p.m. Monday at East Bethany and West Middlebury roads, the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday.

Eight bids submitted for water project

SILVER CREEK — Eight contractors submitted bids on phase two of the water line replacement project. Bids were opened at the regular meeting of the Silver Creek Village Board held Monday in the fire hall, and ranged from $812,150 to nearly $1.2 million. All eight packages will be turned over to the village attorney and village engineers for review.

LITTLE VALLEY—A Delavan man is headed to the Cattaraugus County Jail for a year following his conviction on a motor vehicle-related infraction.

High-speed chase results in reckless-driving charge

BENNINGTON—An East Aurora man accused of leading police on a high-speed chase Sunday has been charged with reckless driving. Daniel F. Lewalski Jr., 22, of Hunters Creek Road, was arrested following the pursuit which police said reached speeds of close to 90 mph.

HINSDALE—A town couple have been charged on marijuana and fireworks possession counts by the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
