Updated: July 31, 2010, 6:32 AM
LOCKPORT—A woman who let burglars stash stolen property in her garage avoided jail time Friday from Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza.
Carlye A. Dubuc, 33, of 70th Street, Niagara Falls, drew three years’ probation and $1,500 restitution for fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property.
Niagara Falls City Court officials said three men have pleaded guilty to third-degree burglary in connection with the Nov. 27 theft of more than $20,000 worth of property from a 67th Street home, after which some of the goods were stored at Dubuc’s garage.
Joseph M. DiLaura, 17, of 60th Street, has been placed on five years’ probation. Awaiting sentencing are Grant J. Swanson and Mark A. Pardee, both 18, both of Buffalo Avenue. A misdemeanor stolen property charge against Christopher Stevens, 18, of Linwood Avenue, was dismissed.
