NIAGARA FALLS—A California landlord who arrived in Niagara Falls Friday discovered his Walnut Avenue property had been burglarized and maintenance work he had paid someone to do was not done, police said.

Police said roofing materials, household supplies and a bicycle were stolen. The loss was placed at $1,000.

Police also investigated two other break-ins:

• A 68th Street garage, where mechanic’s tools, an air compressor and car amplifiers were stolen. The loss was put at $8,200.

• A Whitney Avenue residence, where a rental television and DVD player were stolen. The loss was placed at $4,100.
