NIAGARA FALLS—The Aquarium of Niagara is seeking votes to help it establish a$ 50,000 coral reef exhibit at its site at 701 Whirlpool St.

The Aquarium, in competition with other agencies throughout the country, has filed a grant request with the national Pepsi Refresh Project for a$50,000 grant. Grants will be awarded to the projects that receive the most votes by telephone, text messages, Twitter and others.

Votes for the current competition are being accepted every day during September. There is no charge for participating in the poll, and each person can vote once every day during the month.

Pepsi will distribute up to $1.3 million a month during the program.

The Aquarium’s planned coral reef exhibit will combine the beauty of a living reef with an educational audio-visual display.
