Participants will learn about 12 inventors, conduct simple experiments and activities and sample popular foods that were either developed or improved by African-Americans. MLK JR.DAY EVENT:ReNU Niagara, a community outreach partnership center operated by Niagara University, is co-hosting “Paint the Rain” with Buffalo Niagara Riverkeeper, 10 a. m. to 2 p. m., First Unitarian Universalist Church, 639 Main St., Niagara Falls. Participants will learn about rain barrels and water conservation before painting environmental-themed images on rain barrels that will be placed at Niagara Falls community garden sites, Children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult to participate.
