Following is a weekly listing of upcoming faith-related events held around Niagara County.

Today

ROSARY CRUSADE:The 29th annual

Rosary Crusade will include rosary procession, coronation, blessing of children and benediction, 2 to 3:30 p. m., Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, 1023 Swann Road, Lewiston. Homilist will be the Rev. James L. Fugle of St. Vincent de Paul Parish.

CONCERT:Free worship concert, 6 p. m., First Baptist Church, 530 Meadow Drive, North Tonawanda. For more information, call 694-5250.

Monday

PRAYER:Ministry team from churches throughout the Buffalo Niagara region utilizes God’s word and training to assist anyone who is sick physically, emotionally or spiritually, 7 to 9 p. m., St. James United Church of Christ, 4661 Porter Road, Niagara Falls. No fee and no appointment necessary. Appointments can also be made by calling 884-0048.

Wednesday

YOUNG AT HEART:Senior lunch program will feature speaker Glenda Reardon on nutrition for older adults, noon, First United Methodist Church, Main and Tremont streets, North Tonawanda. Community members who are 55 or older are invited. A freewill offering is taken for lunch expenses. For reservations, call 694-2456.

Saturday

RUMMAGE SALE: Large selection of housewares, glassware, electronics, tools, children’s items and baked goods, 8 a. m. to 2 p. m., Memorial Hall, Grace Lutheran Church, 375 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. Proceeds will go to Grace Church Restoration Fund, Compassion International and Lutheran Service Society. Free admission.

Next Sunday

BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS: In remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi, whose feast day is Oct. 4, 2 p. m., church courtyard, Grace Episcopal Church, 100 Genesee St., Lockport. The event is open to the community. Participants are asked to bring a donation of pet food for the local animal shelter.

CONCERT:The Lake Effect, a men’s a cappella group whose music combines elements of vocal jazz with pop/rock music hits from the past 50 years, will perform, 6 p. m., St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Wilson Burt and West Creek roads, Burt. Concert is part of the Sundays Live at St. Andrew’s series. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased in advance or at the door. For more information, contact office manager Mike Depew at 778-7633.

Upcoming

LA FIESTA: Advance tickets are on sale for the “Tasting of Wine on the Little River” at 7 p. m. Oct. 17 at St. John de LaSalle Catholic Church, 8477 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls. Learn about wines from South America from sommelier John Hailey. Music, hor d’oeuvres and desserts. Tickets are $25 and are limited to 100. Call the Pastoral Care Office at 283-2238 to purchase tickets.

CRAFTERS NEEDED:Applications are available for the Fourth annual Holiday Candy Cane Lane Show on Dec. 4 at Newfane United Methodist Church. Crafters may call Pat at 778-7705 to request an application. Applications are due by Oct. 21.
