LOCKPORT—Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza on Wednesday rejected an effort by an attorney for an admitted killer to have the judge reconsider her sentence.

Anthony N. Adams, now 19, of Niagara Falls, was sentenced in June 2008 to the maximum 40 years in prison after accepting a plea bargain to first-degree manslaughter and first-degree robbery. Adams was charged with robbing four taxicab drivers in Niagara Falls in the summer of 2007, shooting two and killing one, Thomas Zacher, 55. He admitted to the Zacher killing and one other holdup.

“Mr. Adams got exactly the sentence he deserved,” Sperrazza told court-appointed appellate lawyer Peter Nicely.
