Man charged in 'Incredible Hulk' bank robbery
Updated: January 29, 2012, 12:33 PM
The Incredible Hulk, it appears, can be contained when he's walking around as his mild-mannered alter ego.
Town of Hamburg police believe they've found the bank robber who wore an Incredible Hulk ski mask while robbing a Northwest Savings Bank branch at 3670 McKinley Parkway on Jan. 9.
Jacob Lester, 28, was arrested for shoplifting Thursday at the McKinley Mall, police said.
The arresting officer, Joseph O'Brien, noticed that Lester resembled a sketch taken from a witness' description of the bank robber before the Hulk mask was pulled on. Lester also was wearing a droopy necklace that resembled one the bank robber had worn.
While Lester was being processed for shoplifting, Hamburg detectives obtained a search warrant for his home and recovered a black handgun, brown coat and canvas tool bag believed to have been used in the bank robbery.
Lester was charged with first-degree robbery, grand larceny and menacing. He was arraigned Friday in Hamburg Town Court and sent to the Erie County Holding Center on $50,000 bail.

Perhaps it's the fault of the internet.
I wonder if the rest of them are faring any better these days? That they worked so selflessly for the public good probably didn't entitle them to a good public pension and so with the exception of Daredevil (who was already financially well off) I fear that many of them will resort to crime or the spectacle of public debasement in their old age like the Hulkster here.
Obviously, the Hulk has a serious drug problem or maybe he is just trying to fund his research and experiments. The poor guy just wants to fit in with society again.
