Six people are homeless after fire tore through their Walden-Bailey neighborhood home at about 7:15 p. m. Thursday, Buffalo fire officials said.

The blaze broke out on the second floor of a 2z-story home at 6 Keystone St. and quickly spread to the attic. Firefighters confronted heavy fire conditions, and one of them suffered minor injuries.

Damage was placed at $75,000. Officials said there was exposure damage to a home at 8 Keystone St. Damage there was estimated at $1,000. Three adults and three children were being assisted by the Red Cross.
