D’Sean Woods pleaded guilty Tuesday to a reduced charge of first-degree manslaughter for fatally shooting a Horton Place resident during an early morning break-in July 17.

State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia told Woods, 20, also of Horton Place, that he faces a 20-year-prison term when he is returned to court for sentencing Oct. 28. Woods admitted killing Don Baldwin Jr., 24.

Homicide prosecutor Colleen Curtin Gable told the judge the victim’s family agreed to the plea deal in what had been a murder case.
