The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation in Getzville has distributed a total of $32,551 in grants to eight organizations in Erie and Niagara counties to help mental health providers buy clinical reference and resource materials to improve their services to clients.

Founded in 1990, the foundation supports programs to help children, adolescents and young adults who are affected by substance abuse, learning disabilities, mental illness or intellectual disabilities. The foundation funds organizations in four counties in Massachusetts and in Erie and Niagara counties.

The latest awards have been presented to Alcohol&Drug Dependency Services, $3,738; Charter School for Applied Technologies, $842; Gateway-Longview, $7,500; Hillside Children’s Center, $4,443; Horizon Health Services, $2,022; Mid-Erie Counseling&Treatment, $2,990; New Directions Youth and Family Services, $3,519; and Niagara Falls City School District, $7,497.
