Updated: August 21, 2010, 4:33 AM
The annual Kiss Cares for Kids Radiothon, which ran Thursday through Saturday on WKSE-FM/Kiss 98.5, generated a record $480,415 in pledges to benefit Women’s & Children’s Hospital.
Proceeds from the radiothon will go toward the upgrade of an orthopedic/ spinal surgery suite.
In all, more than $2 million has been raised in pledges over seven years.
All of the proceeds generated during the radiothon will benefit the hospital. The radiothon is coordinated with the Children’s Miracle Network, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids by raising funds for local children’s hospitals across North America.
