The Niagara Frontier Radio Reading Service for area blind and print-handicapped listeners located at 1199 Harlem Road, Cheektowaga, will host its 10th annual Silent Super Auction fundraiser from 1:30 to 5 p. m. on Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Hearthstone Manor, 333 Dick Road, Depew. Doors open at 1 p. m. $5 admission includes a sheet of start-up tickets. For more information, call 821-5555.

Opportunities Unlimited of Niagara Parent and Sibling Group will host State Sen. George Maziarz, who will provide updates on issues that effect families of individuals with disabilities, from 6 to 7 p. m. Monday, Nov. 9 in its facility at 2510 Niagara Falls Blvd., Wheatfield (between Sy and Witmer roads). Light dinner served at 5:30 p. m. Free parking available. Reservations are required. Action for Mental Health, 1585 Kenmore Ave., provides services to those with mental health issues throughout Erie County. The programs are designed to assist in the areas of self-help, advocacy and civic empowerment education. For information, call 871-0581.

Independent Living of Niagara County offers an anger management and conflict resolution support group at 6 p. m. Monday at 746 Portage Road, Niagara Falls. Refreshments will be served and transportation is available by calling 836-0822, Ext. 150. For information, call 284-4131, Ext. 17.

Reminder: Western New York Independent Living is looking for individuals who are either severely hard of hearing or totally deaf, between ages 19 and 75 to participant in a 3- hour session in its offices, 3108 Main St., near Hertel Ave. Qualified individuals will be paid $75. The Mental Health Association in Niagara County offers a support group for those dealing with depression and anxiety from 6 to 7:30 p. m. Monday in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, conference dining room, 445 Tremont St., North Tonawanda. For information, call 433-3780, Ext. 10.

The Help You Group is a free service for anyone interested in feeling more confident about their personal appearance and their job skill, and is held from 6:30 to 8 p. m. Tuesday in the Marvin Palanker Conference Room, WNY Independent Living, 3108 Main St. For information, call 836-0822, Ext. 157, or 836-0822, Ext. 167.

The Western New York Independent Living offers, “Double Trouble,” a support group for individuals recovering from mental disorders and addiction problems that will meet from 1 to 2:30 p. m. Wednesday in the Marvin Palanker Conference Room, WNY Independent Living, 3108 Main St. For information, call 836-0822, Ext. 154.

The Senior Day Program at Community Services for the Developmentally Disabled offers individuals who are self-sufficient, age 55 or older with developmental disabilities, the opportunity to get involved with a senior center to meet new people, learn new skills and volunteer in the community.
