Local artists and would-be artists of all ages are invited to channel their inner Jackson Pollock at an art and fundraiser for HIV/AIDS services dubbed “Make a Splash.”

For a minimum $20 donation, participants will help create a giant mural—in the spirit of the American action painter —by squirting, squeezing, splashing or dropping paint from a 13-foot high balcony down to the 10-by-18 canvas below at the ZGM Fine Arts Studio, 1045 Elmwood Ave.

The resulting artwork will be auctioned to benefit AIDS Community Services of Western New York. The event will be open to the public from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. Oct. 10.
