WARSAW – A 17-year-old Castile man suffered a broken leg and a 53-year-old Stafford woman suffered knee and back injuries when the man lost control of his vehicle on snow-covered Silver Lake Road in the Town of Perry Friday, State Police reported Tuesday.

Lukas M. Colopy was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment of his leg fracture and Cheryl A. Thomas, struck when Colopy veered into her lane, was treated at the Wyoming County Community Hospital for back and knee pain. Neither suffered life-threatening injuries, state police reported. Colopy was ticketed for moving from a lane unsafely and he is facing Perry Town Court proceedings in several weeks.
