A 28-year-old Northampton Street woman was arrested on child-endangerment and false reporting charges for causing search for her car and young daughter early Friday morning on the city’s West Side.
Erica Glenn was arrested at West Utica and Rhode island Streets about 5 a.m. after police found that the Amber Alert that was issued for her allegedly missing daughter was the result of an argument the suspect had with a male friend. Glenn was charged with falsely claiming an unknown man had stolen her car.
Police later were told that Glenn had been driving erratically earlier in the morning with her child in the back seat. The false abduction claim led to a number of patrol cars from various police districts being assigned to the search for the child.
