It’s never too early to think about next year’s garden.
The Buffalo Area Daylily Society is holding a public sale of daylilies and hostas from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Harvey D. Morin Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2940, 965 Center Road.
There will be a variety of colors, sizes and types available. Members also will be available to answer questions.
The society was founded to educate gardeners in Western New York on the beauty, culture and usefulness of daylilies.

• Dr. Adam McCrea, who has a chiropractic practice in the town, will be the guest speaker at Wednesday’s breakfast meeting of the West Seneca Rotary Club. The gathering begins at 7:30 a.m. at Alton’s Restaurant, 2221 Transit Road at Seneca Street, Elma. Admission is $10 and includes breakfast.
• An exhibit featuring the favorite works of six graduates of the former Albright Art School’s Class of 1959 continues through Sept. 1 at the Burchfield Nature & Art Center, 2001 Union Road. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free.
