The 2014 budget for the Town of West Seneca was adopted this week without further changes.

While the budget debuted with a projected property tax rate increase of 11 cents, that was reduced to a penny by the time the first public hearing on the spending plan was held last month. Spending totals approximately $34.89 million, with the 2014 tax rate at $17.45 per $1,000 of assessed valuation.

The Town Board voted unanimously to approve the budget following a second public hearing earlier this week.

“It’s a good budget,” Town Supervisor Sheila M. Meegan said Friday. “We are getting so much done in town. The town is in good shape.”
