A West Seneca parolee armed with a knife who lunged at a police officer after threatening patrons at a fitness club near his home has pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted menacing of a police officer and second-degree menacing.

Louis Doll, 24, of Seneca Street, was arrested Jan. 16 at the Planet Fitness club in the Seneca-Ridge Plaza where he was threatening people with the knife and screaming about his mental state, police said.

West Seneca Police Officer Jesse Reed arrived about 9:30 p.m. and ordered him to drop the knife, but Doll lunged at the officer, who subdued him with a stun gun, prosecutors said.

Doll faces up to four years in prison when he is sentenced May 15 by State Supreme Court Justice Penny M. Wolfgang, according to Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita III.

After serving that sentence, Doll, who was on parole on a 2008 conviction for attempted first-degree robbery, will have to complete his remaining prison term in that case.
