Warm, humid conditions greeted Western New Yorkers at daybreak today, but change is on the way.
This morning’s temperatures in the mid-to-upper 70s were about 10 degrees above normal, according to Bob Hamilton, a meteorologist with the Buffalo office of the National Weather Service.
“It’s warmer just ahead of the cold front that’s moving in today to cool things down for the second half of the week,” Hamilton said.
Showers and thunderstorms are forecast throughout today. No significant rainfall or storms are expected, Hamilton said.
Temperatures will remain in the 70s Thursday, Hamilton said, but lower humidity will make for a more comfortable day.
