DUNKIRK – Two Dunkirk men were are facing felony drug charges – and one is accused of picking a fight with Dunkirk police during the arrest Wednesday evening.
The suspects were identified as Traiquane C. Nance, 24 of Plover Street, and Nicholas T. Bailey, 24 of 631 Swan St. They were arrested on Main Street following a routine traffic stop, when police discovered marijuana and cocaine.
Nance is charged with four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of obstructing governmental administration and unlawful possession of marijuana. Dunkirk police Nance fought with police at the scene of the traffic stop and again at the police station. Nance also had outstanding warrants in the City of Dunkirk.
Bailey was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance and running a stop sign.
Dunkirk City Court Judge Walter F. Drag remanded to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail following arraignment.
