JAMESTOWN — Two 23-year-old Buffalo men arrested in connection with a July 1 home invasion robbery and shooting have been indicted on 22 counts by a Chautauqua County grand jury.
Jaqwan and Maqwan Martin were charged with four counts of first-degree burglary, six counts of first-degree robbery, three counts of first-degree aggravated sexual abuse, first-degree criminal sexual act, two counts of first-degree criminal use of a firearm, two counts of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and four counts of second-degree assault, Jamestown police said.
Both are being held in Chautauqua County Jail on $2 million property or $1 million cash bail.
The suspects fired on Jamestown police who responded to a report of a fight on the 100 block of Falconer Street at about 3 a.m. July 1.
Officers returned fire and it is believed that one of three suspects was struck, but all three escaped. Jaqwan and Maqwan Martin were later located and charged at the scene, police said.
Police said more arrests are expected. Several other suspects are in custody in Chautauqua and Erie counties on parole violations.
