A Western New York native won more than $1.3 million in the latest installment of the World Series of Poker Millionaire Maker event in Las Vegas.

Jonathan Dimmig, a 2001 graduate of Kenmore East High School, beat 7,977 players on his way to victory.

The three-day event stretched into four before Dimmig was victorious.

His winnings totaled $1,319,587.
