Town of Tonawanda/Kenmore

The public is invited to help update the Town of Tonawanda’s Master Plan at a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26 in the Milton J. Brounshidle VFW Post, 3354 Delaware Ave., Kenmore.

The town is seeking the public’s views on land use, zoning, community character, economic development, recreational needs, housing, community service and other issues as it updates the Master Plan, which helps establish a vision and set goals for the future of the town. The Town has hired URS Corp. and WWS planning to help prepare the updates to the plan.

Also this week:

• The Town Board will hold a work session at 4 p.m. Monday, followed by a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. in Council Chambers of the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave., Kenmore.

• The Kenmore Village Board meets at 8 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers at the municipal building. A work session begins at 6:30 in the mayor’s office.

• The Kenilworth Fire Department in the Town of Tonawanda is preparing for its annual food drive collection. On Wednesday, Dec. 4, the fire department is asking residents in the Kenilworth Fire District to leave non-perishable food items at their doors for pickup.
