Town of Tonawanda/Kenmore
A Veterans Day Remembrance Ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at the Village Green in front of the Kenmore Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave.
The Milton J. Brounshidle Post 205, the American Legion and the Harry E. Crosby VFW Post 2472, in conjunction with the Town of Tonawanda are sponsoring the event.
The master of ceremonies will be Tonawanda Town Supervisor Anthony Caruana, and the guest speaker for the ceremony will be Retired Navy Captain William Loockerman.
The program will include a wreath placement and a ceremonial firing of taps. Following the event attendees are invited to enjoy refreshments at the Brounshidle Post, 3354 Delaware Ave.

• St. Andrew’s Country Day School is holding a Craft and Gift Show today from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $2 for adults and children 10 and under are free. More than 100 vendors and crafters will be selling their wares. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase. The school is located at 1545 Sheridan Drive, Kenmore.
• The Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Union Free School District Board of Education will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kenmore West High School, 33 Highland Parkway.
• Town of Tonawanda-Kenmore Historical Society’s president Jeannette Smith will give a presentation on the history of GM Plant in Tonawanda as it marks its 75th anniversary. The event is at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday at 100 Knoche Road. For more information, call 873-5774.
• St. Amelia’s School, a Catholic elementary in the Town of Tonawanda, is hoping to win $200,000 in Stanley Security installed products and services through a contest.
